Adult
Body length 2.9-4 mm in males and 3.8-5.3 mm in females. Body predominantly dark brown to black. Wings with 4 transverse dark stripes. Tarsi, tibiae, scutellum and anterior part of head all yellow. Two lateral yellow stripes are present on the thorax.
Larvae
White to yellowish with pharyngeal hooks at the front end and spiracles that resemble projecting tubes at the posterior end.
Eggs
Yellowish-white, oval and pointed at one end. Laid singly beneath the skin of developing fruit.

Europe, the Middle East and western Asia.

Symptons/Signs
Oviposition punctures disfigure the outer surfaces of fruit and are often visible due to discolouration. Larvae feed on the fruit pulp and then leave the fruit to pupate in the ground.

Recommended Trap Density
2-4 traps per hectare in large uniform cherry crops and 4-6 traps per hectare in small, less densely planted or mixed crop stands.
Trap Maintenance
Check traps on a regular basis; at least twice a week. Replace the dispensers every 12 weeks to achieve optimum results. Replace the sticky traps once they become saturated with insects and other material.
Storage
Keep product away from heat and direct sunlight. Store at ambient temperatures (below 15 o C) for a shelf life of 18 months or in a refrigerator for an extended life of 24 months. Always store sealed in original packaging.
