Pest Details
Adult
Wingspan of 50-60 mm. Forewings greyish-yellow with a dark brown terminal band and uniform, sometimes kidney shaped, yellow spots. Hindwings brown-grey in colour.
Larvae
Body yellowish to orange. Head brown and prothoracic plate with dark border and pale medial groove. Thoracic legs ringed with black.
Eggs
Spherical shaped, initially yellow and becoming salmon pink with age. Laid in batches at the base of host plant
Distribution
Mediterranean Europe and North Africa.

Symptons/Signs
The larvae initially feed on the upper epidermis of leaves, before feeding on the leaf veins, expelling frass from holes. Later instars feed on the head within extensive galleries.

Recommended Trap Density
2 traps per hectare in large, uniform areas of crops or 3- 4 traps per hectare in small, mixed or less dense crop stands. 1-2 traps are suitable for garden management.
Trap Maintenance
Check traps on a regular basis; at least twice a week. It is recommended to replace the pheromone dispensers every 4 weeks to achieve optimum results. Replace sticky inserts, if used, when they become filled with dust or insects.
Storage
Keep product away from heat and direct sunlight. Store in a refrigerator for a shelf life of 12 months or a freezer for an extended life of 18 months. Always store sealed in original packaging.
