Our Weevil Trap has been designed and developed to enhance capture of beetle pests including the Strawberry Blossom Weevil and Agriotes Click Beetles. Flying insects are intercepted by the vanes and any insects that alight near the trap can enter by using the pitfall ramp. The trap does not need to be buried. The design ensures good stability but if extra support is desired, holes in the ramp are provided for inserting tent pegs/long nails to secure to the ground. Depending upon the lure used either a lure hook or cage with cap can be supplied with the trap. Vanes are not required for some flightless weevils.
The average useful lifespan of the Weevil Trap is 4 years.
