Pest Details
Adult
Wingspan of 12-14 mm. Forewings grey-brown with yellow markings and small black spots. Hindwings pale grey with a fringe of long cilia.
Larvae
Final instars reach 10-12 mm in length. Body is greygreen with brown pinacula. Five interrupted pinkish stripes are present.
Eggs
Oval, white and 0.5 mm in length. Laid on both sides of leaves and petioles.

Symptons/Signs
Larvae feed within mines on leaves and stems. Later instars also spin leaves together to provide a feeding shelter. Distortions in the growing shoots is a sign of infestation.

Recommended Trap Density
2 traps per hectare in large uniform areas of crops and 3- 5 traps per hectare in less dense or mixed crop stands
Trap Maintenance
Check traps on a regular basis; at least twice a week. Replace the pheromone dispensers every 4 weeks to achieve optimum results. Replace sticky inserts once they become saturated with dust or insects.
Storage
Keep product away from heat and direct sunlight. Store in a refrigerator for a shelf life of 18 months or a freezer for an extended life of 24 months. Always store sealed in original packaging
