Pest Details
Adult
Body length of ca. 10mm. Forewings vary from shades of grey to pale and reddish-brown. A distinctive sinuous black fascia mark is present on the basal third of wing. The underside of forewings, thorax and abdomen are dark brown to black.

Laid on the top side of leaves. Females prefer to oviposit on older leaves.

Economic Host(s)
The most important economic host is kiwifruit. Will also cause damage to grapes, citrus and eucalyptus.
Symptons/Signs
On hatching larvae feed on leaves of their host using silk to roll leaves into a protective tube. This pest can also cause damage to the surface of fruits. The larvae of this pest are capable of causing more damage to fruit flesh than most other leafroller species.
Generations
Typically 5-8 but more in warm climates.

Recommended Trap Density
1-2 traps per hectare in outdoor crops and 1-2 traps per glasshouse depending on size and crop density.
Trap Maintenance
Check traps on a regular basis; at least twice a week. We recommend replacing pheromone dispensers every 4 weeks to achieve optimum results. Replace any sticky inserts, if used, when they become filled with dust or insects
Storage
Keep product away from direct sunlight, heat, sparks and open flame. Store in a refrigerator for a shelf life of 18 months or a freezer for an extended life of 24 months. Always store sealed in original packaging.
