Adult
Length of 3.2 – 4 mm. Pale to darker brown with pale yellow-brown legs and antennae. Antennae with 11 segments including a loose 3-segmented club. Pronotum and elytra are covered with a dense covering of yellowish hairs.
Larvae
Pale yellowish-brown in colour with brown head and well-developed legs. Up to 8mm in length.
Eggs
Ca. 1.5 x 0.4 mm in size and shiny and creamy white in colour. Laid singly in blossom buds or in centre of flowers among stamens.

Symptons/Signs
Large frass filled tunnels are visible in the flower receptacle. Feeding damage may also be seen on fruits and feeding sites often become infested by grey mould fungus (Botrytis cinerea). Adults also feed on young leaves causing characteristic inter-veinal feeding holes.

Recommended Trap Density
Traps should be placed 10-15m apart along rows of fruit crops. Traps should be employed a few weeks before flower buds appear (late March).
Trap Maintenance
Check traps on a regular basis; at least twice a week. It is recommended to replace the pheromone dispensers every 4 weeks to achieve optimum results. Replace the sticky inserts, if used, when they become filled with dust or insects.
Storage
Keep product away from direct sunlight, heat, sparks and open flame. Store in a refrigerator for a shelf life of 12
