Wingspan of 24-25 mm. Abdomen striped with thin yellow stripes on black. Orange scales present on the wings along with black scales

Length of 13-16 mm. Body greyish-white and transparent. Head pale brown and mottled. Dorsal vessel greyish

Distributed across southern and central Europe and eastwards across to Ukraine.
Distribution
India and Pakistan, Mauritius, the Middle East and northern Africa.

Symptons/Signs
Larvae feed on pith of the roots of their host to depths of 12 cm. Inhabited roots may be indicated by the presence of frass within or alongside hosts.

Recommended Trap Density
1 trap per hectare in large uniform crops or 2-3 traps per hectare in less dense or mixed crops.
Trap Maintenance
Check traps on a regular basis; at least twice a week. It is recommended to replace the pheromone dispensers every 4 weeks to achieve optimum results. Replace the sticky inserts, if used, when they become filled with dust or insects.
Storage
Keep product away from direct sunlight, heat, sparks and open flame. Store in a refrigerator for a shelf life of 12 months or a freezer for an extended life of 18 months. Always store sealed in original packaging.
